About Wellington College Prep
Eagle House School is a co-educational preparatory school for pupils aged 3 to 13, offering both day places and full, weekly, and occasional boarding. Founded in 1820, the school has been based on its current site near Crowthorne in Berkshire since 1886, set within 30 acres of grounds. Its Victorian buildings have been thoughtfully extended over the years, and recent improvements include a refurbished Nursery, upgraded wireless internet, developed outdoor learning areas and adventure playgrounds, and a new memorial garden beside the school chapel. The school is part of the same charitable trust as Wellington College, though it operates independently. Eagle House aims to provide a stimulating environment where pupils are encouraged to grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and take on increasing independence and responsibility. Rooted in its Christian foundation, the school embraces both tradition and change, nurturing pupils of all backgrounds and faiths. The school welcomes pupils from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with day pupils typically living within 20 miles. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language. More able pupils are prepared for a range of academic and non-academic scholarships through varied activities.
