About Hurst Lodge School

HawleyHurst School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming pupils aged from 2 to 18 years. The school was formed in January 2018 through the merger of Hurst Lodge School and Hawley Place School, and is organised into three sections: the Nursery (EYFS), the prep school (Reception and Years 1 to 6), and the senior school (Years 7 to 13). The school is owned and led by a small, close-knit leadership team. The school aims to place learning, creativity, and the building of self-worth at the heart of school life. It seeks to provide a secure and purposeful environment in which pupils can develop mentally and physically, pursue excellence across intellectual, physical, and cultural activities, and grow into responsible citizens. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds and live predominantly within a 20-mile radius of the school. The school supports a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including those with dyslexia and dyspraxia, and provides specialist help where needed. More able pupils are also catered for through a range of activities both inside and outside the classroom.
