About Walthamstow Hall Senior

Walthamstow Hall is an independent day school for girls aged between 2 and 18 years, founded in 1838 for the daughters of Christian missionaries. The school moved to its present site in 1882 and is run as an educational charity governed by its trustees. The junior school and Early Years Foundation Stage occupy separate premises around a mile from the senior school and sixth form site, though all parts are governed and managed as one school. The school aims to create a community where individuals are respected and their individuality valued. High expectations, consideration for others, self-discipline, and good behaviour are central to school life, alongside a commitment to partnership between pupils, staff, governors, and parents. The school's core values are respect, integrity, aspiration, community, and individuality. Most pupils live within a 10-mile radius of the school and come from business and professional families. The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, and has adapted its curriculum for those with particular abilities or talents in areas such as art, drama, sport, and music.
