About The Pointer School
The Pointer School is an independent co-educational day school for children from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 6, set in attractive premises near Blackheath. The younger children are based in a Georgian building, while pupils in Years 2 to 6 are taught in a nearby detached Victorian house. The school is rooted in Christian principles and aims to provide learning for life, nurturing personal faith, respect, integrity and friendship. It strives for its pupils to be well educated with a genuine love of learning, growing into happy, self-confident young people who are kind, generous in spirit and ready to engage with the wider world. The school community is a welcoming and diverse one, drawing most pupils from local families of a wide range of nationalities, giving the school a pleasantly international feel. The school is committed to supporting all its learners, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, as well as adapting the curriculum for more able pupils.
