About The Paragon School

The Paragon is the junior school of Prior Park College, offering an independent, co-educational day school for children aged between 3 and 11. Founded as a Christian school in 1911, it moved to its present site in 1983. The school is organised into three departments: the Nursery for children aged 3 and 4, the pre-prep for pupils aged 4 to 7, and the prep for pupils aged 7 to 11. It is owned and governed by the Prior Park Education Trust. The school aims to deliver a broad and balanced education for every child, promoting the importance of moral and spiritual values and cultivating a love of learning. It endeavours to send children into the world feeling confident, capable, compassionate and independent. Pupils come from professional, business and other backgrounds. The school supports children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, and makes provision for those who are more able or who have special talents in sport, art, music and drama. English as an additional language is also supported for those who need it.
