About Bath Academy

Bath Academy is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged between 14 and 19, founded in 1995 and owned by Bath Academy Ltd. Set within two Georgian buildings in Bath city centre, the school operates as a tutorial college, preparing pupils for university entrance through A levels, the University Foundation Programme, and other qualifications. A recently acquired additional building provides further classrooms and a café. Boarding pupils are accommodated either in a boarding house or in homestays with local families. Most pupils come from professional and business families in Bath, with around one in three pupils coming from overseas. The school teaches in small groups, taking individual needs into account, and provides specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as additional English language support for those who need it. The school aims to create a safe, inclusive and caring environment where pupils can achieve well and develop the independence and self-esteem that will prepare them for adult life.
