About Prior Park College
Prior Park College is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 11 to 18, established in 1830. The school has developed its facilities over time to include provision for art and design, a sixth form centre, a sports hall and two new day houses. A revised academic curriculum has also been introduced, offering a range of subjects including psychology and photography. The school is organised into a number of houses for both boarding and day pupils. There is one boarding house for girls and two linked boarding houses for boys, with some day pupils also attached to these. Seven further houses serve day pupils across the different year groups. Prior Park College aims to provide a Catholic and Christian education that nurtures the whole person, supporting pupils academically and in their broader development within a caring and structured pastoral environment. Pupils come from a wide range of professional, academic and business backgrounds, with many coming from overseas. The school supports pupils with special educational needs and disabilities as well as those for whom English is an additional language, and makes provision for its most able pupils through a modified curriculum.
