About St Hilary's School
St Hilary's School is an independent day school for boys aged between 2 and 7, and girls aged between 2 and 11. Founded in 1927, the school became a charitable trust in 1966 and is overseen by a board of 12 governors. The school is set in a Victorian house situated in grounds on the outskirts of Godalming. The original building has been extended over the years to provide purpose-built accommodation, and a more recent addition, the Hiorns Centre, offers further indoor facilities. The school aims to provide a broad all-round education, equipping pupils with the qualities and skills needed in school and beyond. It seeks to nurture a genuine love of learning, draw on each child's individual talents, and create a warm, safe and caring environment in which every child can thrive. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds and the school supports children with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, pupils for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as more able.
