About Rowan Preparatory School

Rowan Preparatory School is an independent day school for girls aged 2 to 11, founded in 1936 and part of the United Learning group. The school is spread across two sites about half a mile apart, with younger pupils up to the age of 7 attending Rowan Brae, and girls aged 7 to 11 based at Rowan Hill. The school aims to help every girl reach her full potential, encouraging pupils to appreciate their own and other cultures and to grow into educated, caring and confident young people who can make a positive contribution to society. Pupils come from a range of business and professional backgrounds, and the school is well placed to support a diverse community. Provision is in place for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, for those with English as an additional language, and for those who are identified as gifted or talented, ensuring that every girl receives the support and challenge she needs.
