About Danes Hill School

Danes Hill Preparatory School is a co-educational day school for pupils aged three to thirteen, located in the village of Oxshott. Younger children aged three to six attend a separate, self-contained site in the heart of the village, while the main school for pupils aged seven to thirteen is organised into lower, middle, and upper sections. The school is owned by the Vernon Educational Trust, a registered company, with a board of governors serving as trustees. The school aims to guide children towards becoming independent and confident individuals who enjoy succeeding and contributing to both their school community and the wider world. It seeks to provide a broad-based education with the support and resources needed for every pupil to reach their full potential, and encourages children to explore their talents across sport, music, drama, and other activities beyond the classroom. Pupils come from a wide area and from a range of multinational backgrounds. The school is experienced in supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as those for whom English is an additional language. Provision is also made for the most able pupils and for those with particular talents in areas such as sport, art, drama, and music.
