Notre Dame Preparatory School is an independent Roman Catholic day school for girls aged 2 to 11, with boys also welcome in the Nursery. The school is part of the 400-year-old Order of the Company of Mary Our Lady, and has been situated on the banks of the River Mole, outside Cobham, since 1937. A sister senior school shares the same site, and whilst both schools have their own leadership teams, they work closely together under a common governing body. The school draws pupils from south-west London and the surrounding area, welcoming children from a range of backgrounds. Specialist support is available for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language. More able pupils are catered for through a programme of challenging activities in mathematics and English. At the heart of the school is a commitment to creating a secure and stimulating environment in which each child is respected as a valued individual. Pupils are encouraged to fulfil their potential both academically and physically, and to develop confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
