About Maltman's Green School
Maltman's Green School is an independent day school for girls, situated on its current site in Gerrards Cross. The school opened in 1918 and has evolved over the decades, becoming a preparatory school in 1958 and later a day school with a nursery in 1995. It operates as a charitable trust, administered by a board of governors. The school aims to offer a personalised, relevant and adaptable academic curriculum alongside extensive extra-curricular opportunities, preparing girls for the modern world through a blend of traditional values and innovative thinking. It strives to foster confidence, self-belief and a caring atmosphere, so that each girl feels safe, secure and free to be herself. Pupils come from families with a range of professional backgrounds, predominantly living within a ten-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or difficulties and those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also modified for pupils who show particular ability or special talents in areas such as sport, drama, music and art.
