About Teikyo School UK

Teikyo School (UK) is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 15 to 18, founded in 1989. Part of the global Teikyo University Group, the school offers a welcoming community where boarders are accommodated in two single-sex boarding houses. The school has invested in digital learning equipment to support pupils in their studies. At the heart of the school's ethos is a commitment to helping pupils develop their English skills and, through communal living, to empathise with and respect those around them. The school aims to nurture globally-minded young people who are well prepared for the next stage of their lives. The majority of pupils come from Japan, with the remaining pupils from Japanese families living within a commutable distance of the school. English is an additional language for all pupils, and classroom teachers provide tailored support to meet their needs. The school also offers specialist help for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and adapts its teaching for its most able pupils as well as for those with particular talents in sport.
