About Immanuel College
Immanuel College is a co-educational day school for pupils aged 4 to 19, set within the 11-acre grounds of Caldecote Towers in Bushey, north west of London. The school was founded in 1990 by the late Chief Rabbi Lord Immanuel Jakobovits, with a vision of combining rigorous secular studies with a firm grounding in orthodox Jewish values and practice. The school is organised into three sections: a preparatory school for pupils aged 4 to 11, a senior school up to age 16, and a sixth form. The school aims for high standards in both Jewish and secular studies, and seeks to nurture young people who feel equally at home in contemporary society and within their Jewish heritage, preparing them to take a meaningful role in all areas of life. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds, mostly from British families living within a five-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, and provides one-to-one support for those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils who show particular ability or talent in specific areas.
