About Francis Holland Regent's Park
Francis Holland School, Regent's Park, is an independent day school for girls, founded in 1878 by the Reverend Canon Francis Holland. The school has an Anglican tradition and foundation, and is jointly administered and governed alongside its sister school in Sloane Square by a charitable trust with a shared board of governors. The school moved to its present site in 1915 and comprises a senior school and a sixth form. The school welcomes pupils from all cultures and traditions, drawing primarily from families living in London with a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds. Its aim is to provide a balanced education within a supportive, friendly and happy community, nurturing, challenging and encouraging pupils of all abilities to develop their talents in an atmosphere of mutual trust and tolerance. The school has identified a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including mild learning difficulties such as dyslexia and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, with specialist support available for those who need it. English is an additional language for a small number of pupils, some of whom receive additional support.
