About Forest School
Forest Preparatory School is a co-educational independent day school welcoming children from the age of two through to eleven. Founded in 1924, the school has been based close to the village of Timperley ever since. It is organised into three sections: Early Years for children aged two to five, the Lower School for those aged five to seven, and the Upper School for pupils aged seven to eleven. The school is part of the Bellevue Education group, whose education committee oversees its management and governance. The school aims to encourage every child to reach their full potential and strive for excellence across all areas of school life. Pupils are supported in building their self-esteem and confidence, with the goal of nurturing individual talents and a love of lifelong learning. Strong partnerships with families and the wider community are at the heart of what the school does, within an environment where success is warmly celebrated. The school draws its pupils from a range of cultural backgrounds, with many families living in the Manchester area. Children throughout the school are offered opportunities for enrichment, extension, and challenge across academic, musical, and sporting activities. Pupils who need additional support, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, receive the help they require, and provision is also in place for those who speak English as an additional language.
