About Wilmslow Preparatory School

Wilmslow Preparatory School is an independent day school for girls and boys aged between three and eleven years. Founded in 1909, the school moved to its present site in a residential area on the outskirts of Greater Manchester in 1925. It is administered by a charitable trust and overseen by a board of governors. The school aims to offer the best all-round education in a happy, caring and stimulating environment, achieved through a balanced curriculum, specialist teaching and a strong pastoral ethos. The school values each child as an individual, so that pupils feel confident and ready to enjoy the next stage of their education. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds, mostly from families living within a few miles of the school. The Early Years Foundation Stage and the Junior School are all accommodated on a single site, with a sports hall and field close by.
