About Wetherby School
Wetherby School is an independent day school for boys, founded in 1951 and based in Kensington. The school moved to its current site in 1971, and its Nursery opened in 2014. The school operates across two nearby buildings, with Years 1, 2 and 3 at the main site and the Nursery and Reception classes housed in a separate building close by. The school is part of the Alpha Plus Educational Group, which holds corporate governance responsibility. The school aims to create a vibrant community where pupils are encouraged to dream big, develop personal excellence, and build the skills they will need for future life, with a particular emphasis on grace, grit and courage. Pupils come from professional backgrounds and live within a five-mile radius of the school. The school supports a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, and speech and language needs, all of whom receive additional specialist help. A small number of pupils speak English as an additional language, and the curriculum is also adapted for those pupils who show particular talents in areas such as art, music and sport.

The use of personal electronic devices by staff or visitors for any purpose when in the company of children is prohibited. This applies to situations both on-site and off-site (eg on trips). When in the presence of children, personal electronic devices should be kept out of sight of pupils (eg in a draw, bag or jacket pocket) and set to silent. In an emergency, personal calls can be directed to the school's landline number so that a message can be relayed to the member of staff.
