About The Oratory Prep School
The Oratory Preparatory School is a Catholic co-educational day and boarding school welcoming pupils from the age of 2 to 13. Owned by Bellevue Education, the school provides boarding accommodation within the main school building, with separate areas for boys and girls. As a Catholic school, it aims to offer the experience of living in a Christian community and to encourage a personal relationship with God through prayer and worship. The school is committed to respecting each child as an individual, nurturing their confidence and self-esteem so that they can develop their talents across intellectual, moral, social, spiritual, aesthetic, and physical areas of life. A strong three-way partnership between children, parents, and the school sits at the heart of its approach. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds and nationalities, with most day pupils living within a 15-mile radius of the school and boarders joining from overseas, including Spain, China, Nigeria, and France, as well as the UK. The school identifies and supports pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and provides dedicated support for those who speak English as an additional language, through small-group teaching and classroom support.
