About The Gregg School
The Gregg School is a non-selective, co-educational day school for pupils aged 11 to 16, situated on a beautiful 23-acre site on the northern edge of Southampton. Founded in 1901, the school moved to its current home at Townhill Park House in 1994, where classrooms occupy the Grade II listed main house and converted stables and cottages house the library, art, music and design departments. A purpose-built building, opened in 2016, provides dedicated space for science, English, drama and food technology. The school is part of The Gregg Schools' Trust, a registered charity, and shares a governing body with The Gregg Preparatory School. The school welcomes pupils from a broad range of socio-economic, cultural and religious backgrounds, mostly from the Southampton area. Specialist support is available for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language, and the curriculum is thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs of the most able pupils too. At the heart of everything is a genuine commitment to inspiring pupils to engage actively with their learning. The school encourages young people to develop intellectual curiosity, independence and confidence, take responsibility for their own behaviour, and show respect and tolerance for others — helping each pupil to reach their potential both academically and personally.
