About The Gregg Preparatory School
The Gregg Preparatory School is a small independent day school for boys and girls aged 3 to 11 years, situated in two linked Victorian buildings in a residential area near the centre of Southampton. The school has a long history, having been founded in 1880, and moved to its current site in 1996 before taking its present name in 2016. It forms part of The Gregg Schools Trust, an educational charity operating two schools in Southampton. The school is made up of two sections: a preschool for children aged 3 to 5 years, and a preparatory school for pupils aged 5 to 11 years. Preschool children benefit from their own dedicated building. The school aims to provide a positive and secure environment where every child feels valued and respected, and is supported to develop their skills and reach their potential. Pupils come from a wide range of backgrounds, and the school is committed to meeting a variety of individual needs. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, for those who speak English as an additional language, and for those who are identified as more able.
