About The Cavendish School
The Cavendish School is an independent day school for girls aged three to eleven, founded by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus in 1875. Having moved to its current location in 1970, the school is a registered charity governed by a board of governors. In recent years it has added a new performance hall and five new classrooms to its site. The school aims to create a caring learning environment built on partnership between home, school, and the wider community. It offers a broad and stimulating curriculum designed to nurture resilient, curious, and open-minded learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education. Pupils come from a range of professional and cultural backgrounds in the surrounding area. The school is committed to supporting every child, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, ensuring that all pupils receive the help they need to thrive. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils who show particular abilities or talents.
