About Susi Earnshaw Theatre School
Susi Earnshaw Theatre School is a co-educational school combining academic study with performing arts. Founded in 1989 and based in a fully functioning theatre since 2004, the school is led by its founders, Susi and David Earnshaw, who oversee its governance alongside a headteacher responsible for day-to-day operations. Pupils work towards GCSE examinations whilst following a timetable that gives dedicated time to dance, drama, music and singing. The school aims to offer a safe, healthy and friendly environment where every pupil can be themselves and grow in confidence and self-esteem. It strives to balance a broad education with a clear focus on the performing arts, nurturing self-discipline and a genuine love of learning in all its pupils. Pupils come mostly from Hertfordshire, London and the surrounding counties. The school welcomes pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, all of whom receive additional specialist support. Most pupils have a talent for the performing arts, and the school supports their development through individual extension work and access to specialist coaches and facilities.
