About Mount House School

Mount House School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged between 11 and 18, situated in a rural setting in Hadley Wood in the London Borough of Barnet. Established in June 2017 as the successor to St Martha's School for females, which was founded in 1903, the school has admitted male pupils since September 2018. The school aims to support pupils in developing into confident learners, ensuring that every individual is valued and their talents identified and nurtured. It seeks to help young people grow into able, articulate, balanced, caring, and well-rounded individuals with a genuine love of learning, ready to take on life's challenges and aware of others' needs. Pupils come largely from professional or business families in the local and surrounding areas, representing a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds. The school supports pupils with English as an additional language, those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and those with elite sporting talents, adapting the curriculum to meet a range of needs and abilities.
