About Surbiton High School
Surbiton High School is an independent day school located in Kingston, Surrey. Founded in 1884 by the Church Schools Company, now known as the United Church Schools Trust, the school is part of the wider United Learning group of schools. A local governing board operates in an advisory capacity. The school occupies nine sites across Surbiton and the surrounding areas. It includes a senior school and sixth-form centre for female pupils on the main site, a female prep school and a male prep school adjacent to it, and Early Years Foundation Stage settings within both prep schools for male and female pupils. Pupils come from a range of professional and business family backgrounds within a 20-mile radius of the school. The school aims to inspire, encourage and empower its pupils to discover and embrace their individuality within a rigorous academic environment, while nurturing pastoral care helps pupils to become compassionate, respectful, courageous and inquisitive members of the community. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, for those for whom English is an additional language, and for pupils identified as having particular talents.
