About St Anne's School

St Anne's School is a small, co-educational independent school situated in the centre of Chelmsford. Founded in 1925, the school welcomes children from the Early Years Foundation Stage all the way through to Year 6, with a pre-prep section for Years 1 and 2 and a prep section for Years 3 to 6. The school aims to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment where every child can grow in confidence and reach their full potential. It places great importance on nurturing all abilities and equipping children with the resilience and independence to become lifelong learners in an ever-changing world. Pupils come from a range of backgrounds and nationalities, with most families living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports children with special educational needs and disabilities as well as those who speak English as an additional language, and adapts its curriculum to meet the needs of its most able pupils.
