About Oundle School
Oundle School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged between 11 and 18, founded in 1556. Governed by Royal Charter through a board of governors, the school also has supportive links with the Grocers' Company. The school is spread across the town of Oundle, with 14 boarding houses and two day houses, as well as a sports centre and a science and technology building. Roughly three-quarters of pupils are full-time boarders, with 22 nationalities represented across the school community. The school aims to nurture global contributors and to deliver a distinctive education that prepares children for their adult lives. The school identifies and supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as pupils for whom English is an additional language. Those who are more able, or who have special talents in sport, drama and music, are provided for through a variety of extension opportunities on an individualised basis.
