About The Peterborough School
The Peterborough School was founded in 1895 and has been part of the Woodard Corporation since 1974. Situated on a single site, the school serves pupils from nursery age right through to the sixth form and has been fully co-educational since 2010. As part of the Woodard family of schools, it offers an experience of Anglican worship alongside a broad and stimulating education. The school community is multicultural, with most families coming from White British backgrounds that reflect the local area, and the majority of pupils live within ten miles of the school. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, with specialist support available where needed. Provision for the most able pupils is also built into the curriculum. The school aims to unlock the potential of every pupil, nurturing academic achievement, confidence, creativity, teamwork, leadership, and spiritual and moral values. Recent investment in the site has brought improved sports facilities, updated science laboratories, redeveloped art and design spaces, and expanded play areas for the preparatory school, reflecting an ongoing commitment to providing a well-rounded environment for all its pupils.
