About Orley Farm School
Orley Farm School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 4 to 13, located in Harrow-on-the-Hill, Middlesex. Founded in 1850 as a boys' preparatory school, it has grown to include a pre-preparatory department opened in 1995. The school is organised into three sections: pre-prep for Reception and Years 1 and 2, the middle school for Years 3 and 4, and the upper school for Years 5 to 8. It is run as a charitable trust administered by a board of governors. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum through which all children enjoy their learning and reach their full potential. It seeks to create a challenging environment that stimulates enquiring minds, encourages independent learning, and helps pupils develop values to carry through life. Pupils come from local professional and business families and from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as highly able or as having a special talent in areas such as art, design, technology, music, sport, and computer science. The curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of these different groups of learners.
