About Newbridge Preparatory School
Newbridge Preparatory School is an independent day school in Wolverhampton, founded in 1937 and operating from its current site since 1949. The school welcomes girls up to the age of eleven and boys up to the age of seven, and is governed by a board of directors as a charitable limited company. The school is organised into three sections: the Early Years Foundation Stage for children aged two to five, a lower school for Years 1 and 2, and an upper school for Years 3 to 6. It aims to give every child strong foundations for learning within a small, family-friendly atmosphere, nurturing confidence, happiness, and a thoughtful awareness of others. Most pupils live within five miles of the school. The school provides additional specialist support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, and classroom teachers support those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for more able pupils and for those with particular talents in areas such as sport, drama, music, and art.
