About Malvern St James School

Malvern St James is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 4 to 18, situated in the centre of Malvern, Worcestershire. Founded in 2006 following a merger of two former girls' schools, it brings together a pre-preparatory department, a preparatory department, and a senior school, all sharing the same site. The school is run as an independent charity by a board of trustees, and boarders are accommodated in five houses close to the heart of the school. The school aims to provide a spiritual context and environment that motivates, challenges, encourages, and supports each girl, alongside an all-round education that enables pupils to make the most of their potential. Girls come from a range of professional and business backgrounds, with the majority from White British families alongside a number of international pupils representing some twenty countries. The school offers additional specialist support to pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as extra language support for pupils for whom English is an additional language.
