About Farlington School

Farlington School is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3 to 18, with boys also welcome in the Nursery. Founded in 1896, the school has been based at its current home, Strood Park, since 1956. Set within 33 acres of parkland, the Mansion House at the heart of the site provides teaching, administrative, and boarding spaces, and the school has continued to invest in its educational and sporting facilities over recent years, including the opening of a junior boarding house, Fishponds. The school is a charitable trust, governed by a dedicated board supported by specialist committees. It welcomes pupils from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, and offers full, weekly, flexi, and occasional boarding to suit different family needs. Support is available for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language. At the heart of everything Farlington does is a commitment to helping every girl build confidence, develop a strong sense of moral and social responsibility, and discover a genuine love of learning. The school works to challenge its most able pupils whilst offering encouragement and support to those who need it most, so that every child can thrive in her own way.
