About Churcher's College
Churcher's College has a long and interesting history, having been founded in 1722 by Richard Churcher as a non-denominational school. Originally based in the town of Petersfield, Hampshire, the senior school moved to its current site on the outskirts of the town in 1877. The junior school is located in Liphook, around eight miles away, having moved there in 2003. The school became fully co-educational in 1988 and today operates as a charitable company, with a single governing body overseeing both the junior and senior schools. The school aims to develop pupils' academic, creative and sporting talents alongside a strong sense of social awareness. It places real importance on nurturing self-esteem, moral values and leadership, encouraging pupils to grow into confident, responsible and respectful individuals who are ready to play a positive role in the wider community. Most pupils come from within around 20 miles of the school, and the school supports a range of learning needs, including pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities. Those who show a particular aptitude in a subject are offered an extended curriculum, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.
