About Bloxham School
Bloxham School is a co-educational day and boarding school situated close to Banbury in Oxfordshire. Founded in 1860 by the Reverend Philip Egerton, it forms part of the Woodard Schools group, a family of 45 schools across England and Wales. A board of local governors oversees the day-to-day running of the school and the implementation of its policies. Structured into three sections — Lower School for Years 7 and 8, Middle School for Years 9 to 11, and a sixth form — the school is home to seven boarding houses. Flexible boarding arrangements are available to suit individual needs, and a good number of day pupils choose to board at some point during the term. Pupils in Years 7 and 8 are accommodated in Park Close, a short walk from the main campus. Rooted in the Christian traditions of the Woodard foundation, Bloxham School aims to foster creativity and a genuine love of learning. Its curriculum seeks to balance academic achievement with the development of wider skills, supported by pastoral care that encourages strong character and sound values. Careers education and community service are both built into the timetabled week, reflecting the school's commitment to a truly all-round education.
