About Beech Hall School
Beech Hall School is a co-educational day school welcoming pupils from the age of 6 months through to 16 years. Founded in 1926, the school originally opened as a boarding school for boys before becoming co-educational in 1981. It is managed by a governing body and comprises three sections: a Nursery covering the Early Years Foundation Stage, a junior school for pupils aged 5 to 11, and a senior school for pupils aged 11 to 16. The Early Years setting is housed in its own separate building, and various areas across the school have been redesigned in recent years, including an art and design room, a food technology laboratory, and two ICT suites. The school aims to provide teaching and learning within small classes, offering pupils an all-round education in a stimulating and supportive environment. It seeks to nurture independence, resilience, tolerance, and a sense of responsibility in every pupil. Most pupils come from professional and business backgrounds and live within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports a number of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia and autistic spectrum disorder, many of whom receive additional specialist help. The curriculum is also adapted for the most able pupils and for those with particular talents in sport and music.
