About Wychwood School
Wychwood School is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11 to 18, situated near the centre of Oxford. Founded in 1897, the school is a Christian, non-denominational foundation that warmly welcomes pupils of all faiths. It is administered by trustees and a governing body as an educational trust, and offers both full and flexi boarding on site from the age of 11. The school is committed to providing a well-rounded and happy environment in which young people can develop integrity, a strong sense of self-worth, and independence of thought, alongside the confidence to build fulfilling careers and personal lives. Pupils come from the local area around Oxford, with boarders joining from other parts of the UK and a range of other countries. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as pupils for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted for pupils who show particular talents in academic studies and sport.
