About University College School
University College School is an independent day school for boys in Years 7 to 11, located in Hampstead, London. Founded in 1830 on Benthamite principles of liberal education, the school moved to its current site in 1907. The sixth form is co-educational, welcoming both male and female pupils. The school is governed by the trustees of the University College School charity. The school aims to provide a kind and respectful environment that values diversity, promotes self-awareness, and supports every individual within a safe community. Alongside a stimulating academic education, pupils are encouraged to develop their creativity, personal talents, and a sense of responsibility towards their local, national, and global communities. Enrichment is offered to all pupils as part of the curriculum. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds across London. The school supports 105 pupils identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, including dyslexia and dyspraxia, with 41 receiving additional specialist help. English is an additional language for 100 pupils, whose needs are supported within the classroom.
