About The Marist School

The Marist School is an independent Catholic day school for girls aged 5 to 18, alongside a co-educational nursery for children aged 2 to 4. Founded in 1870 by the Society of Mary, the school is a registered charity under the trusteeship of the Marist Sisters, and has been at its present site since 1947. The prep and senior schools joined together as a single school in September 2016. The school aims to give pupils the confidence to challenge misconceptions, to shape the world around them, and to set themselves aspirational goals. A woodland learning environment supports outdoor learning, and the nursery offers year-round provision. Pupils come from a range of professional and business backgrounds, with families living across Berkshire and Surrey. The school welcomes pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, providing additional support where needed, and also supports those for whom English is an additional language. The needs of more able pupils are catered for both within lessons and through a programme that stretches them beyond the standard curriculum.
