About Stowe School
Stowe School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls, founded in 1923. Set alongside the Stowe National Trust, it is a charitable trust administered by a governing body. Most pupils are boarders, housed across 13 boarding houses, with places also available for day pupils. The school aims to provide a rounded education within a supportive, family atmosphere and a Christian ethos. It encourages pupils to develop academically, creatively, and in sport, whilst fostering a lasting sense of moral, social, and spiritual responsibility. Pupils are supported to think independently, challenge convention, and pursue their own interests. The school welcomes pupils from a range of professional and commercial backgrounds, including a number of overseas pupils. Support is available for those with special educational needs and disabilities, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also adapted to meet the needs of the most able pupils.
