About Staines Preparatory School
Staines Preparatory School is an independent co-educational day school welcoming children aged three to eleven. Founded in 1935, the school operates as a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors, and is made up of two sections: an Early Years Foundation Stage for children aged three to five, and a junior school for pupils aged five to eleven. The school aims to prepare pupils for the challenges of tomorrow by providing an interesting learning environment, developing their life skills, and setting high expectations for success both within the school community and the wider world. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, representing a diverse and multicultural community living within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those who show particular talents in areas such as art, music, and chess, with the curriculum thoughtfully adapted to meet the needs of all learners.
