About St Pius X Preparatory School
St Pius X is a co-educational Roman Catholic day school situated in a residential area of Preston. Founded in 1955, the school is run as a charitable trust overseen by a board of governors. It welcomes children from the age of two, with a nursery for those aged two to four and a main school for pupils aged four to eleven. The school is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential by bringing together intellectual and personal development, and by building a strong partnership between home and school. Roman Catholic faith, prayer, and worship are woven into daily school life, and the school works to nurture a caring, polite, and responsible community. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, with most living locally. The school supports children with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those identified as more able, with the curriculum adapted accordingly to ensure every child is well supported.
