About St John's College School
St John's College School is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 4 to 13, situated in the centre of Cambridge. A small boarding section, mainly for choristers, is housed nearby. The school is owned by St John's College, Cambridge, and was founded in the mid-seventeenth century to educate the college's choristers. It moved to its current location in 1955 and operates as a registered charity. The school welcomes pupils from a range of professional and business backgrounds, most of whom live in the local area. It supports a diverse community, including pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those for whom English is an additional language, and those with particular talents in areas such as art, drama, music and sport. At the heart of the school's ethos is a commitment to nurturing a lifelong love of learning through a broad curriculum. The school encourages pupils to become independent, creative and critical thinkers, while also fostering values of love, honesty, kindness, respect, service and trust.
