About St Benedict's School
St Benedict's School is a Roman Catholic co-educational day school for pupils aged 3 to 18, situated in Ealing in west London. Founded in 1902, the school was originally established for boys by the monks of Ealing Abbey before becoming fully co-educational in 2007. It has its own independent board of governors and operates as a discrete charity. At the heart of the school is a Catholic Benedictine ethos, guided by the mission of Teaching a way of living and rooted in the Rule of St Benedict. Christian principles of love and forgiveness inform school life, and pupils are encouraged to become independent learners, to develop as individuals, and to take on roles of leadership and service both within the school and in the wider community. High-quality pastoral care supports every pupil's personal development alongside strong academic ambitions. The school welcomes pupils from a variety of ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds, with around three-fifths of pupils being Roman Catholic. Most pupils come from the Ealing area, with some travelling from other parts of west London. The school provides additional support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as for those for whom English is an additional language, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to flourish.
