About Rokeby School

Rokeby is an independent day school for boys aged four to thirteen, situated in the premises it has called home since 1966. Founded in Wimbledon in 1877, the school is a registered charity overseen by a board of governors. It is organised into a lower and an upper school, which work together to offer a joined-up experience of learning from the earliest years through to thirteen. At the heart of the school is a simple but meaningful aim: to bring out the brilliant in each boy. Pupils are encouraged to be smart, skilful and kind, with a strong emphasis on fostering respect and a genuine love of learning. Teaching is tailored to the needs of the individual, so that every boy has the opportunity to find happiness and success in what he does. Most pupils live within five miles of the school. The school supports boys with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, as well as boys identified as the most able, whose curriculum is adapted to reflect their particular strengths.
