About Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School
Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School is a co-educational preparatory school founded in 1991. It is organised into two sections: the lower school, welcoming children aged 4 to 7, and the upper school, for pupils aged 7 to 11. Most families live within walking distance or a short cycle ride from the school. The school aims to provide a balanced focus on each child's intellectual, moral, spiritual, physical and emotional development. It seeks to nurture, inspire and motivate pupils within a culture that values respect, compassion, tolerance and diversity, as well as a sense of community responsibility. The goal is to build confidence and self-esteem, encouraging a love of learning and the ability to make a positive contribution in school and in life. Pupils come from a range of professional backgrounds, and the school warmly supports the needs of its whole community. This includes children identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities, all of whom receive additional help, as well as a significant number of pupils for whom English is an additional language, many of whom also receive tailored support.

Mobile Phone Policy
Pupils are not permitted to bring mobile phones to school and, as a school, we take the position that children should not be provided with a smartphone / internet enabled portable device while they are of primary age. Pupils in year 6 in their final term at RPPS may bring a non-internet enabled mobile device to school which is to be used purely as a means of communicating with parents that they have arrived safely. Once inside the school gates, these mobile devices should be switched off and then handed to the class teacher at morning registration. Class teachers will return the mobile devices to pupils at the end of the school day.
