About Latymer Upper School
Latymer Upper School is an independent co-educational day school in Hammersmith, welcoming pupils aged 7 to 18. Its roots stretch back to 1624, when Edward Latymer made provision in his will for the education of eight poor boys of Hammersmith. The upper school was established in 1895 and the prep school opened in 1995, with both overseen by a board of governors. The school draws pupils from a wide range of backgrounds across the local community, with most living within 15 miles of the school. It aims to provide a life-changing education that equips and inspires young people from all walks of life to make a positive impact on society, blending the best of traditional and modern approaches within a global perspective. The school is committed to supporting every pupil, whatever their needs. It makes provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, those with English as an additional language, and those who are particularly talented, ensuring the curriculum is thoughtfully adapted where appropriate.
