About Perrott Hill Preparatory School

Perrott Hill School is an independent, non-selective day and boarding school set in the village of North Perrott in Somerset. Administered by a local board of governors, the school welcomes pupils from Year 3 into full, weekly, regular or flexible boarding arrangements, with boys and girls accommodated on separate floors within the main house. The pre-prep is housed in a charming converted stables building adjacent to the main school. Day pupils come from a range of professional family backgrounds within a 30-mile radius of the school, while boarders join mainly from southern England and a small number from Europe. The school supports pupils with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities such as dyslexia and dyspraxia, and those for whom English is an additional language. The curriculum is also thoughtfully adapted for pupils who show particular talents in academic subjects, art, drama, sport or music. At the heart of the school's approach is a commitment to developing the whole child, nurturing abilities and self-esteem through a broad range of opportunities and attentive pastoral care. The school aims to blend the best of tradition with a forward-looking outlook, fostering a genuine sense of well-being and belonging across its community.
