About Packwood School

Packwood Haugh School is a co-educational preparatory school for day and boarding pupils, set on a rural site of 66 acres near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. The school is a charitable trust administered by a board of governors. Boarding is provided for male and female pupils in separate houses, and younger children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Years 1 and 2 are welcomed into a dedicated pre-prep department called Acorns, situated within the grounds. The school is part of the Shrewsbury School family of schools. The school aims to provide an excellent all-round education in a happy, supportive and safe environment. It seeks to enable each child to discover and develop their own talents, build key personal skills, and prepare pupils to thrive in the next stage of their education and in life beyond. The majority of pupils come from professional families in the local area, with a few coming from overseas. The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, as well as those for whom English is an additional language, ensuring that every child receives the help they need to flourish.
