About Old Vicarage School

Old Vicarage School is an independent co-educational day school, founded in 1933 and bought by its present proprietors in 2007. An advisory panel of educational and other professionals provides independent advice to the school. The school is made up of three sections: a nursery for children aged three to four, a pre-prep for those aged four to seven, and a prep for pupils aged seven to eleven. The school aims to nurture character and kindness, helping each pupil to become their best self within a caring, supportive, and enriching learning environment. It values childhood as a precious time and encourages pupils to develop into positive citizens with a sense of responsibility towards their local and wider community. Pupils come from a range of professional or business backgrounds and live within a 15-mile radius of the school. The school supports pupils with a variety of additional needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those for whom English is an additional language, ensuring every child receives the help they need to thrive.
