About Old Buckenham Hall School

Old Buckenham Hall is a rural independent preparatory school welcoming boys and girls aged 3 to 13, offering both day and boarding places. The school has been run as a charitable trust with a board of governors since 1968, and has three boarding houses, two within the main building and one nearby. A dedicated Pre-Prep building with its own playgrounds caters for the youngest children, from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 2. The school aims to provide a rich and fulfilling education that inspires every pupil to achieve their best. It places great value on curiosity, creativity and independent thinking, while nurturing confidence, resilience, empathy and an awareness of the wider world. Most pupils come from local families, and the school is well equipped to support a range of needs, with provision in place for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities as well as those who speak English as an additional language. The school also offers a scholarship programme for its most able pupils in Years 7 and 8.
